pilobolus

Pilobolus is a prominent American dance company with influence on a global scale. You’ve probably witnessed their amazing performances where human bodies fold, meld, and intertwine to form a dizzying array of shapes and symbols. They have been been featured at The Academy Awards, on 60 minutes, and on Conan O’Brien as well as many commercials, including spots for Volkswagen and Hyundai. Pilobolus needed a website as organic as their repertoires, matching their creativity and uniqueness. Working with Quo Vadis on design and utilizing our Trampoline framework and Flash, Monumental created a photo-centric site that puts the dancers front-and-center. Photo and video slideshow management, e-commence and many other features are seamlessly managed by the application.

re:frame

reframe Tribeca Film Institute needed a web-based application and site to help them preserve film history that might otherwise be lost to dusty warehouse shelves, inaccessible video formats, or forgotten troves of niche archives. Monumental worked with TFI and Armchair Media to develop the re:frame site that will make classic and hard-to-find content available to a broader community of students, artists, educators, and cineastes. In addition to all the features users see, the site also has powerful workflow features that make managing a large video archive fun and easy.
