Working with BBDO NY in creative Partnership with Tronic, Monumental helped transform AT&T’s “Here’s To Possibilities” campaign into a social experience that brings millions of Team USA fans together in real celebration.

The Monumental team developed a visually stunning and very cool 3D microsite that features “virtual monuments,” original artistic interpretations of Team USA athletes, orbited by points of light that expand when clicked on to reveal messages of support and celebration from people around the world. Visitors can post their own message to join those that the microsite has brought together from fans elsewhere across the web.

Monumental also developed a companion mobi site and Augmented Reality iPhone App to keep fans connected. The Augmented Reality iPhone app also allows users to view the artistic models in 3D at specific real-world locations. And with each big victory, the microsite and participant’s AT&T mobile devices exploded with activity and light, gathering the fan comments into a moment of mass celebration.

Monumental architected the solution and developed all the software – a back-end Trampoline management application that runs the website, the Augmented Reality iPhone App, and 3D website and mobi site – all in a six-week time frame. Talk about pushing the edges of possibility! But what we really accomplished was something more. We helped develop an imaginative possibility for our clients to engage with their markets in a new and exciting way. It’s what we do best.

Monumental developed “Honey Defender – The Case of the Honey Heist”, the new 3D web game based on the Honey Nut Cheerios brand and characters. Working with Primal Screen for world-class creative and client Saatchi & Saatchi, we built a digital premium that excites young players, provides contemporary entertainment value and deeply promotes the brand. In the online age where games are gaining on TV, it’s the new toy in the box.

The game finds our hero Buzz arriving in Hive City to aid Mayor Bumble. Assuming the role of Buzz, players visit 5 large and expansive island areas that have both linear and non-linear activities. The storyline advances by having Buzz perform quests and interact with other in-game characters. Collection quests, boss encounters and exploration are all part of the fun.

Pilobolus is a prominent American dance company with influence on a global scale. You’ve probably witnessed their amazing performances where human bodies fold, meld, and intertwine to form a dizzying array of shapes and symbols. They have been been featured at The Academy Awards, on 60 minutes, and on Conan O’Brien as well as many commercials, including spots for Volkswagen and Hyundai. Pilobolus needed a website as organic as their repertoires, matching their creativity and uniqueness. Working with Quo Vadis on design and utilizing our Trampoline framework and Flash, Monumental created a photo-centric site that puts the dancers front-and-center. Photo and video slideshow management, e-commence and many other features are seamlessly managed by the application.

Tribeca Film Institute needed a web-based application and site to help them preserve film history that might otherwise be lost to dusty warehouse shelves, inaccessible video formats, or forgotten troves of niche archives. Monumental worked with TFI and Armchair Media to develop the re:frame site that will make classic and hard-to-find content available to a broader community of students, artists, educators, and cineastes. In addition to all the features users see, the site also has powerful workflow features that make managing a large video archive fun and easy.

NeuroTechs is a company whose services help physicians diagnose and treat patients in the clinic, operating room, and patient’s home. Monumental recently created an application that allows for these services to be managed and executed remotely. The application includes a one-of-a-kind “virtual patient chart” that makes it easier for physicians to diagnose and treat patients from anywhere with an internet connection. The software is built on our Trampoline framework and gives everyone involved in a patient’s care access to relevant chart elements when they need it from anywhere in the world. Healthcare professionals can collaborate online across departments and geography for treatment, which helps reduce errors and inefficiencies by a large margin.

Another unique and critical part of the system is the online application sharing/viewing that allows the physicians to interpret testing results in real time. This allows the doctor to be in many places at once and patients to get unprecedented turn around on testing results. With all the attention these days on driving down healthcare costs, increasing efficiency, and the dwindling numbers of neuro-specialists, this application is on target and timely. By partnering with Monumental, NeuroTechs has made their process more efficient, reducing the hours and materials involved in a typical patient’s care by 35%.

The Atlanta AIGA needed a sophisticated but user-friendly website, so they started where you might expect a professional association of designers to begin: with a cool design. AIGA sought a like-minded development partner who could appreciate and implement their cool design (created by Iconologic) in an interactive environment. Monumental was a natural choice.

Monumental developed features and tools such as event planning, membership management, blogs, galleries, and even credit card transactions, achieving a humane user experience for AIGA’s not-necessarily-tech-savvy volunteer staff, members, and other visitors.

Delighted with the usability of their new site, AIGA Atlanta then asked Monumental to help design a web solution for their SEED Awards. This design competition-the largest in the Southeast-receives entries in over 50 categories and from all across the region. And as a volunteer-driven nonprofit, AIGA needed a smoother way to handle registration, submission, and judging. Trampoline, Monumental’s signature development framework, allowed us to do just this. We created a streamlined process for AIGA’s SEED Awards that handles a high volume of entries and submissions, requiring a fraction of the former volunteer labor force.

We encourage you to visit AIGA Atlanta. We hope you don’t notice the innovative technology at work, but that you do enjoy exploring AIGA through this naturally built interactive environment. And we hope you’ll even feel inspired to support Atlanta’s vibrant design community!
